RTFM (Read The Fucking Manual), is a self-explanatory phrase that dates back to antiquity, generally in response to newfaggotry.
Usage
When a newfag asks an obvious question, rather than entertain their stupidity, one simply tells them to "RTFM, faggot".
Alternative methods are "just fucking google it" or "man yourcommandhere".
Saging is strongly recommended.
Popularity
In recent years, there has been a marked decline in adequate usage of this term, and an alarmingly high tolerance of cancerous posters. Revival of this practice is imperative to the preservation of the quality of the internet.
