If you're interested to write some articles or at least add some links, it might be worth to mention about nginx and especially SPDY. There's unfortunately no widespread support in clients and no support at all in webservers for QUIC, but it's interesting. :::A partyvan contributor? If you're referring to the taken down /i/nsurgencywiki or whatever, I was never a contributor there and have no relation to those guys (the domain was on partyvan.info anyway, not .eu). File:Installgentoo-wiki-logo-r1.png
It seems the current logo is a derivative work of Gentoo logo licensed under CC-BY-SA-2.5 according to Wikipedia. Some copyright/trademark laws may also apply to the 4chan and Gentoo logo. You need to license the logo under similar CC-BY-SA license, so pick your poison. CC-BY-SA-4.0 International is the latest one, just tag it on the file page and attribute Gentoo and 4chan + trademarks and mention it being a derivative work. It should also be compatible with 2.5. - Added a section to the file page about that. AMIDOINITRITE? --Placebo (talk) 11:05, 11 February 2014 (EST)
- I fixed it up a little, but you did well with it. By the way, please consider the Free Art License for future original content (File:Google-botnet-logo.png) unless you want your content to remain in public domain/WTFPL. There's a small template for it already, see Template:FAL. Since Google's logo is in public domain, there's no need to attribute this time but you seemed to do so anyway, which is okay. :) WubTheCaptain (talk) 19:32, 13 February 2014 (EST)
Hate to bug you but File:Installgentoo-wiki-favicon-r1.png also needs a license. WubTheCaptain (talk) 19:47, 13 February 2014 (EST)
- Don't hate, just ask. Also, you should really add some licences to the dropdown menu on the file upload page. Not entirely sure how that's done with MediaWiki. If I can find a way to do that as a normal user I will try to. --Placebo (talk) 10:59, 14 February 2014 (EST)
- It's done with MediaWiki:Licenses but I cannot change the page since I'm not a sysop on this wiki. More ideally, would also be changed in MediaWiki:License to be a header like you've done == ==. WubTheCaptain (talk) 12:14, 14 February 2014 (EST)
- It seems to be better to hardtype == Licensing ==, so ignore what I said above. WubTheCaptain (talk) 13:43, 17 February 2014 (EST)

Some ideas for your user page
If you're interested to write some articles or at least add some links, it might be worth to mention about nginx and especially SPDY. SSL Pulse is also interesting. There's unfortunately no widespread support in clients and no support at all in webservers for QUIC, but it's interesting. WubTheCaptain (talk) 13:43, 17 February 2014 (EST)
- My humans.txt might also give some inspiration. WubTheCaptain (talk) 13:53, 17 February 2014 (EST)
- Well, knowing you were a partyvan contributor gives some common ground. Perhaps I will eventually hop on IRC rather than fucking up my talk page. Thanks for the extensive and continued collaboration.
- Personally, I'm a bit wary to write anything too extensively due to time constrains and limited experience doing so. --Placebo (talk) 13:59, 17 February 2014 (EST)
