I thought about adding pacman information, then it occured to me - does this shit need to be in this article? Should usage of individual package managers be moved to thier respective base distro pages? Like, move the apt info to Debian, and then have a pointer in Ubuntu to that? I Think package manager should have their own page. Aptitude-related information could be in both Debian and Ubuntu, and it would be wasting space/look bad to have repeated information. --Sergio (talk) 11:18, 6 February 2014 (EST)
agreed. I am pretty sure apt-get update does not update software, but the repo lists instead. apt-get upgrade updates software. correct me, if i am wrong and the article if im not.--Bisasam (talk) 15:17, 8 February 2014 (EST)
