iOS (Formerly iPhone OS) is the proprietary operating system by Apple Inc., used in iPhones, iPads, Apple TVs, and iPod Touch devices. It is known for being very reliable and stable, or that "it just werks". However, it has also gotten criticism for being severely locked down and lacking customization without tools such as jailbreaking.
